蓄電池牽引電動平車利用手持操作器進行起動操作。手持操作器上的控制開關(guān)用來接通控制電源，方向選擇開關(guān)用來選擇牽引車的運行方向。順時針旋轉(zhuǎn)手持操作器上的調(diào)速手柄，電動平板車主接觸器通電閉合，電機接電開始旋轉(zhuǎn)，旋轉(zhuǎn)增大，電機轉(zhuǎn)速增加；逆時針旋轉(zhuǎn)調(diào)速手柄，電機轉(zhuǎn)速降低，旋轉(zhuǎn)到終點時，主接觸器斷電釋放，電機停止旋轉(zhuǎn)，電動平車走行停止。
    制動蓄電池牽引軌道平車的準確停車也是控制的一個重要方面。這里我們采用的是調(diào)速器和電磁制動器相結(jié)合的制動方式，其應(yīng)用效果明顯。通過調(diào)速器本身的制動功能加上電磁制動器抱閘的作用，使軌道平板車制動距離短，完全滿足工位要求。為節(jié)約蓄電池電量，電磁制動器選用節(jié)能型制（動器動作電流為３Ａ，保持電流為ｏ．０２Ａ）。在電機旋轉(zhuǎn)的同時電磁制動器“制動起動”和接觸器“制動維持”接觸器動作，使剎車機構(gòu)打開。當動作２ｓ后，“制動起動”接觸器釋放，“制動維持”接觸器繼續(xù)吸引，使電磁制動器以一個很小的電流繼續(xù)工作。
